My name is Maria Berrocal i Arévalo and I am a native Spanish Primary School Teacher.

I consider myself multidisciplinary because I have background in different fields such as art, dance, music and sports; broad-minded, entrepreneur and with international values, due to my involvement in the board of Erasmus Student Network Girona and my participation in International School Ghent. I enjoy moving to different countries and learning from their cultures and languages, that is one of the reasons why I am moving to Paris.
I love reading and writing; I participated in a course of writing and literature at my university village and I am working on my own children’s literature project based on multiculturality. Moreover, currently I am studying an online Master about Neuropsychology, Multiple intelligences and Mindfulness, in my opinion, a field that will allows us to increase the quality of education.

The last week of August I started my Erasmus + traineeship as a recent graduated teacher. Since then, I have been performing the role of teacher assistant in Year 3 & 4, where I contribute with the learning plan, marking, giving support to the students, etc. Furthermore, when I have the opportunity, I come up with my own activities. All of this, in the frame of the IPC and British curriculum.

On one hand, the first term I led the Multi-move club for pre-primary. With the aim to develop the gross motor skills, we worked two units: “Time travellers” (symbolic game) and “Magic boxes” (explore the range of movements that promote each material and the kids’ imagination).
On the other hand, currently, I am doing Introduction to sports for middle and upper primary. The learning plan goes from the gross motor movements, that the kids will need to use in the practice, to the technic ones; as they learn the rules and the tactic of the sport. I use real game and reduced situations to achieve the goals of the session through cooperative learning and co-evaluation.
